Thank you!

I have been making dolls professionally since 1988 and I have many people toward whom I feel deep gratitude for their inspiration, leading by example or sharing of their enthusiasm, skills, and gifts.

I would not be a doll artist if I did not have the mother I had. She loved playing with me and showing me how to do and make things. She spent time with me appreciating art and noticing what works and why. She was the catalyst the day my first original doll was conceived and begun. And so I thank my mom, Betty, first and foremost for all that she has given me to make my dreams come true. She passed in April 2005. Click here to see the collage I made in honor of her.

I thank my father, Richard for his initial dismay and eventual complete capitulation to my choice of work. And for his constant example of how to enjoy the 'small' things in life while he was alive.

I thank my former partner, Jeff for his hard work and encouragement. We created some beautiful dolls together.

I thank my friend Alice Leverett, for her professional partnership, friendship and generosity - as well as her fabulous example of artistry and craftsmanship.

I thank my sister Caron for her support, her precious company in our Barbie adventure and her hours of listening as I struggled to find my true artist's voice.

I thank my sister Marilyn for urging me to explore the internet, as well as her invaluable feedback on the dolls and my photography.

I thank my sister Linda for her loyal encouragement and certainty of my continued success.

I thank my friend Tammy Pierce, for being a living example of pursuing one's passion and the satisfaction that comes from doing that.

I thank my friend Robert Wehe for all the good fun I have had with him, including that magical time we went to FAO Schwarz and Stevie, our invisible child, was born.

I thank Sabine Esche and Brigitte Deval, both of whom I esteem as two of the finest doll artists in the world, for being my porcelain inspiration.
I thank Terri Norcia as my inspiration in repainting fashion dolls. Her repainted dolls are still the best of the best in my opinion.

And most of all I want to thank the people who are collecting my dolls and have them in their lives and homes. I send an extra special thank you to the wonderful people on my email alert list - your support and appreciation is the life blood of my art - Thank you so much for your attention and appreciation.

I am grateful for the Internet, Ebay and Yahoo for all possibilities that they offer each of us.
I am grateful to be able to do this work.
